Introduction

Welcome to the world of opera, University of Tennessee style!  

The purpose of these pages is to afford participants in the present production, as well as any other interested parties, an opportunity to review the activities of the rehearsal process, as well as the random thoughts, musings and notes of the Music Director, as we explore the world of Mozart/Da Ponte's Don Giovanni together.  While these notes, videos and commentary will be, I sincerely hope, informative and helpful, it is certainly not intended to be scholastic.  Anything of a purely academic nature will be delivered through the appropriate means in the course of UTK's Opera Class and the rehearsals.  All official announcements (including Calls and Rehearsal Schedules) will still be delivered in the usual way, etc..  This blog is simply a place for me to share my thoughts, ideas (good and bad), observations and updates on the process and progress of preparing this amazing work.
